ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the fifty United States, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and are 21 years of age or older (the “Participants”).  Employees, officers, and contractors of (1) a Sponsor and (2) the parent companies, affiliates, and subsidiaries of the Sponsor (collectively, “Affiliates”), and their immediate families (defined as parents, children, siblings, and spouse, regardless of where they reside, and/or those living in the same household of each) are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes.

HOW TO ENTER: Participants may enter the Sweepstakes from November 11, 2023, to November 25, 2023 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).  Methods of entry are as such: Participants will visit the official Viva Day Spa and Ruby Hotel sweepstakes landing page and enter their information in the official entry form providing their name, and email address, (participants may otherwise become aware of the landing page through Instagram or Facebook and agree to Facebook/Instagram’s terms of use, acknowledging that this sweepstakes is not associated with either platform). There is a limit of one (1) entry per person per day. 

WINNER: One winner will be selected on or after November 27, 2023, based on a random drawing of all eligible entries received (the “Winner”). The winner will be notified via e-mail, and/or phone. The winner must reply to the winner notification e-mail, and/or phone within 24 hours in order to receive the prize. If the winner does not accept the prize within 24 hours of notification, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected at random. The odds of winning will depend on the number of entries.

PRIZES: One (1) Winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries. The Winner will receive one (1) hotel room (double occupancy) for one (1) night at The Ruby Hotel (the “Prize”). The approximate retail value of the Prize is two hundred ninety-five dollars ($295).  Actual value may vary based on various factors, including fluctuations in price for accommodations.  Transportation, meals, in-room or other personal charges at lodging (e.g., mini-bar, movies), telephone calls, gratuities, incidentals, and all other expenses are not included.  The trip must be completed by October 31, 2024, and may be subject to certain other restrictions, including without limitation blackout dates. The winner is not guaranteed availability on their preferred dates.  Hotel bookings cannot be canceled or transferred.  Any no-shows will be credited against the Prize. The Prize is not redeemable for other products, services, or monetary value, and any portion of the Prize that is not used is forfeited. The Winner will be required to provide a valid credit card at The Ruby Hotel for any incidental charges. Travel companions must be 18 years of age or older as of the date of the hotel reservation.  The Prize may not be assigned or transferred. 

Any violation of a hotel’s policy, any lack or payment for hotel incidentals, or any reasonable suspicion of engagement in any illegal behavior, is the Sponsor’s sole discretion and may result in your hotel reservation being canceled and/or forfeiture of your Prize.  Any public statements disparaging, inaccurate, or reflecting negatively on the Sponsors or its brand or affiliates may also result in the cancellation of your Prize.  

The winner will also receive a food and drink credit from the Ruby Hotel Bar with an approximate retail value of $50.00 which is non-transferable. The winner must be 21 years of age to redeem credit for alcoholic beverages. Any violation of this policy will result in your hotel reservation being canceled and/or forfeiture of your Prize. 

The winner will also receive a gift certificate from Viva Day Spa + Med Spa located at 603 S Mays St, Round Rock, TX 78664. The certificate is only valid at the Viva Day Spa + Med Spa located in Round Rock, Texas. The approximate retail value of the gift certificate is $250.00 and is non-transferable. The gift certificate must be redeemed before October 31, 2024.

RELEASE: By entering the Sweepstakes, Participants agree, to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, to release, forever discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, the Round Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, The Ruby Hotel, Viva Day Spa, and any social media outlets (including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and its and their respective Affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, and each of their owners, directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, injury or loss to person or property, costs and expenses, suffered by the Released Parties, arising from or relating to Participant’s participation in the Sweepstakes, Participant’s acceptance, use or misuse of the Prize, or Sponsors’ use of the entry, including, without limitation, any claims based on defamation, violation of publicity rights, privacy rights, personality rights, moral rights, or intellectual property rights, including copyright infringement and trademark infringement. 

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: General Rules: By participating in these Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsors. WINNER NOTIFICATIONS: The Winner will be notified by November 27, 2023, via email or phone.  Participants are responsible for notifying the Sponsor of changes in their contact information.  Winners may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability/Publicity Release within 14 days of the date of notification or will be disqualified. For all failures of potential winners to respond, or undeliverable attempts, a new winner will be selected from among applicable entries. Prizes will be awarded within 30 days of receipt of executed affidavits. All taxes on the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. The Sponsor reserves the right to withhold taxes or other payments as it deems necessary to comply with applicable law. The Winner will be required to provide the Sponsors with his/her social security number for tax purposes. The Internal Revenue Service requires Form 1099-MISC to be issued and filed for any recipient who receives a prize if the annual aggregate value of the prize received is $600 or more. The sponsors will issue a Form 1099-MISC to the Winner for the total fair market value of the Prize received.

ELIMINATION: Any false information provided for the Sweepstakes by any Participant or non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions may result in the Participant’s elimination from the Sweepstakes.

We won’t judge you (that much) if you use a fork and knife to eat a monster slice from 600 Degrees. They make these slices the Texas way, oversized, and some are smothered in BBQ sauce. We tried a slice of the Texas Made BBQ Chicken and it hit the spot. They also have unique flavors like the San Jose Pie with chorizo, Roma tomatoes, sweet corn, jalapenos, cheddar, green onions, cilantro, and lime! If you live that gluten-free/ dairy-free life, you don’t have to give up pizza because they have vegan cheese pies and pizzas sans gluten!

Promise Pizza

Pinky promise us you’ll give Promise Pizza a try? At Promise Pizza, they’re all about fresh-from-the-oven goodness made with organic ingredients and halal toppings. This charming family-owned gem has been serving up pies since 2009. We tasted the Spicy Tikka pizza during our visit and it was a delectable blend of flavors with a kick! They also have unique options like the Gyro Hero pizza, Shrimp Scampi, and a Butter Chicken & Butter Paneer Pizza.

Pizza Delight

They know how to sling the dough at Pizza Delight! They are a New York Style pizzeria that has been keeping Round Rock full since 2013. They have distinctive pizza flavors like their Chicken Terriaki, Lasagna Delight, and their Philly Cheescake Delight! They stole a pizza of our hearts at Pizza Delight!

Niki’s Pizza

Are you team pineapple on pizza or team eww pineapple? Well, you can serve a divided house at Niki’s because they let you customize their delicious pies. They have thirty-five years of experience in perfecting pizzas in the Austin area and you can taste it in each bite. They have the recipe down, with flavor-packed cheese and a base with the perfect crunch-to-softness ratio.

Warpath Pints & Pizza

Best spot to be on gameday: A pizza joint with a brew and a slice in your hand! We have your Sunday plan: head over to the Warpath and enjoy a cheesy slice while you cheer on your team. Endless Pastabilities

From selling designer dresses to working on a farm, Courtney Heitmann, owner of Gourmet Texas Pasta, has a story of endless pastabilities.

Before making one-of-a-kind pasta, Courtney started her career out in the fashion world, “It’s kind of a funny story I will try to give you the short version! I moved to Texas 10 years ago, I was working in fashion and I convinced the owner of the company to let me work from home. I asked for a raise and they said no, so I spurted out, I want to move to Texas.”

Courtney and her sister moved to the Lone Star State, and she continued working for the upscale clothing line. Not long after, she decided to quit and was faced with a crossroads of sorts. Heitmann asked herself, “What do I want to do with the rest of my life?” Little did she know that the journey she was about to embark on would lead her to Gourmet Texas Pasta. 

Her sister had found a job on a farm and a door of opportunity opened for Courtney to work there as well, “At the time my sister was working on a farm, and she told me they needed an extra hand. I went to help out, and one of the local farmers told me about this pasta company that was hiring. I introduced myself to the previous owner’s wife at the time. She said, ‘Go into the kitchen to see if it’s something you enjoy doing.’ Sure enough, I came in here and I thought wow I didn’t know anything like this even existed. It was so cool.”

Working in fashion to working in food manufacturing may seem like a big leap, but not for Courtney.

Every holiday season, Courtney would join her Mom in the kitchen to help whip up impressive cuisine for family and dishes for dinner parties. Ultimately, her love for cooking and eating delicious food landed her exactly where she was supposed to be.

For the next 6+ months, Courtney worked for Gourmet Texas Pasta before deciding to purchase the company and make pasta full-time, “I started mixing, I started creating new flavors, I started selling at farmers markets, and I ended up buying the company.”

Toss The Sauce

Two of the many reasons that Gourmet Texas Pasta rocks is the fact that the pasta is vegan, and packed full of flavor.

Most unique flavor: The Chocolate Dessert Linguine is “probably our most interesting flavor and your kid’s favorite” according to Courtney. Eat it for dinner or dessert, whichever you prefer. Enjoy with a dollop of ice cream, sprinkles, salted caramel sauce, or any other sweet topping you have on hand. For a savory twist, pair it with a mole sauce.

This trail leads you past iconic sites like Dell Diamond and weaves through charming playgrounds, disc golf, pavilions, and a tranquil lake. If you’re up for more adventure, navigate beyond the trail’s confines – Old Settlers Park offers 640 acres of terrain. It’s the crown jewel of our park system and a must-visit spot during your stay.

Round Rock West Trail & Kensington Greenbelt

Witness wildlife and captivating surroundings at Round Rock West and Kensington Greenbelt! These routes are less than a mile each, but they are short but mighty. Round Rock West is known to have a population of geese and ducks that are always up to something! It’s an excellent spot to bird-watch and appreciate a splendid day.

Brushy Creek Trail

Watch out for the elusive Bigfoot (Aka Hairy Man) on Brushy Creek Trail! There are surprises around every nook and cranny on the 3.06-mile pathway. This trail meanders along Brushy Creek and even crosses into neighboring cities! Let your inner intrepid go wild and spend the day adventuring on this trail.

Pro Tip: Portions of this trail are under construction, so double-check on Google Maps before you start your hike.

Greater Lake Creek Trail

This trail weaves throughout the city and stretches 2.73 miles long. It runs along neighborhoods and some streets, but it’s so serene you’ll feel like you’re in your own world. We recommend starting this journey near Clay Madsen Recreation Center and continuing on! Take a virtual walk of this trail to get a lay of the land.

Meadow Lake Trail

Don’t let the sun set on your vacation before experiencing a sunset by the Meadow Lake Trail! There are 1.35 miles of serene space to stroll around. Meadow Lake is near a quiet lake and surrounding neighborhood, so it’s a great place to unwind and end a beautiful day.
